VCFHS Wins in Local Food category at 2024 Ecostar Awards

We’re so pleased to announce that VCFHS - for our Kitchen Connect and South Island FarmHub programs - won in the Local Food category at the annual EcoStar Awards this November!

Organized by the Synergy Foundation, these awards recognize outstanding environmental and social achievements and leadership by Vancouver Island-based businesses, non-profits, and individuals.

It’s an honour to win in the Local Food category, as that is what we’re all about: supporting those who make and grow it, and working to make it accessible for all. It of course wouldn’t be possible to do this work without our amazing local farmers, food producers, partners, sponsors, staff, and volunteers. Thank you!

It was also great to connect with so many amazing local initiatives and projects taking place on the island, including our friends, co-nominees, and warehouse collaborators Flourish! School Food Society.
