Subscription benefits: shaping a more resilient local food system

We’re excited to share that FarmHub was recently featured in Douglas Magazine, as part of an article highlighting the benefits of subscription services in Victoria.

The piece explores how local subscription-based businesses provides predictable revenue while responding to changing consumer needs, and we’re proud that South Island FarmHub was recognized for using subscriptions as a pathway for local food systems change. Through our online farmers’ market CSA-style subscriptions (and our à la carte options) we work to strengthen farmer viability, improve access to locally grown food, and keep food dollars consistently circulating in our regional economy.

This recognition reflects the collective effort of our farmers, food makers, partners, and customers, who continue to show that a values-driven, community-powered approach to local food distribution is not only possible, but essential.
